Hi, Gary Hart here,

President S.A.A.G.A.

Hello everybody,

I hope this month’s newsletter finds you all well.

Firstly, I would like to make comment on our Forum. We have been getting plenty of response but I will remind you that this Forum is there to encourage new and old members to have their say. A say on how we can make things better and encourage people to be a part of this great game of golf. Unfortunately, there have been some personal comments that have ruffled a few people. Lets keep focussed and remember it’s not about any particular individual’s argument but about everybody and finding ways we can support each other from around Australia. If needed, there is the ability to send a private message so please use this function.

In SA things are going from strength to strength. The First Swing Clinics are running every week now and participants are coming along nicely. Keep up the good work.

I mentioned a Junior Tournament which will be held on 4th November. Juniors please get some sleep before then.

You will see there is a form for membership on the home page. Many of our sponsors offer our members discounts for using their services. To view these specials just click on ‘specials’ at the top of the homepage. To get the benefit of these specials you just have to produce your membership card to qualify. For interstate members, you too will have access to some specials. So far, the interstate sponsors include Kitchen Connection, Tailors of Distinction, Silver Fleece, Events Corp Signage, Otto Bock, Ossur and David Golf who are all happy to be a part of Amputee Golf in Australia. The Courtyard Marriott in QLD also offers a discount to members on presentation of your membership card – why not take advantage and get a way for some R&R. They have also offered to support Q.A.G.A. for their Tournament next year as well as their monthly golf days.

As you can see, S.A.A.G.A is supportive of NSW, Victoria and Queensland and we are happy to help set up Associations where they don’t exist at the moment. This is a small example of what we can do when we work positively together. So it’s a start. All States working together. I myself will be encouraging SA members to make an effort to attend different tournaments next year. This of course will be with the help and support of our Association.

Please keep an eye on our News Flashes.

Be safe, be happy.

See you all in November.

Gary Hart
