7th September

Hello everybody, Gary Hart here.

Well we're another month closer to the first South Australian Amputee Golf Open. I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and in good health. I will remind you that the closing date for entrants for the first South Australian Amputee Golf Open is the 10th of October, so if you could be so kind as to post your entry form in before this date, it will make things easier for me and be much appreciated.Logo

I will remind you South Aussies that there are quite a few people coming from interstate and the world, and they are looking forward to meeting you all and having a good social event.

As you can see, I have been working on the new look website. This is only to benefit our members and guests who choose to visit our site.

I would like to congratulate the participants of the First Swing Golf Clinics in Adelaide. These juniors and adults have shown great determination in striving for their individual goals. First Swing Golf Clinics are running every week now, with some during the week.

I would like to make a short mention of one of our participants of the First Swing Golf Clinics - Matt Cowdrey. At the moment, Matt is in Beijing, China representing Australia in the Paralympics. On behalf of myself, my members and participants, we are all behind you - Good luck Matt - I hope you reach your dream. See you at the next clinic.

Again, I would like to put out a big thankyou to all my sponsors for all your support leading up the First South Australian Amputee Golf Open. Without your backing, this couldn't be made possible. I would also like to convey my congratulations to Aidan Barry, one of our junior members. Over the last two weeks we have had juniors competing against the adults and, because of some outstanding work from Aidan, he has taken it over the line against the adults. Well done Aidan.

In closing, I will kindly remind you that the cut-off date is the 10th of October 2008 for participation in the South Australian Amputee Golf Open.

Please keep an eye on our news flashes. Be safe, be happy. See you all in November.
