Hi Gary here,

Just a reminder to you good people - please go to Albums (click top or bottom), then click on the link at the bottom ('click here for music with slide show'). You'll be reminded how courageous and determined you Amputees are. Great song too, don't forget to turn your speakers up. :o)

Please also read Aidan's golf story. Aidan started First Swing Golf Clinics at the age of 12 and is now 15.

Enjoy,

Gary

17th November

Gary (Gazza) Hart -
You put on a great tournament, and accommodated all in spite of the intense heat.  Although I am accustomed to that kind of heat in Sacramento, I could tell it was a bit of a strain on a number of the participants.  Your care and concern for "all" of the players was appreciated and the extra steps you took to make it bearable were extraordinary.  The water, the cooling scarfs, the three hats, and cool shirts, and all the goodies truly made it enjoyable.

My compliments to the management and staff at Adelaide Shores Golf for their patience, understanding, and friendly manner.  It truly made us feel at home.  And Jack was great driving us around and participating with us.  Definitely something for me to keep in mind for our tourneys.

The Comfort Inn was ideally located and the staff and management were very accommodating.  Breakfasts were excellent served full English style.

I hope to participate again in the future and hope that you and the rest of the participants will feel welcomed to come to the States, especially California, to play in our tourneys.  All are welcomed!!

Take care, and thank Eleanor for all her hard work, support, and warmest of hospitality.

Chris Wicks, President
Western Amputee Golf Association

OPSA support announcement

28th October 2009

Well, we are here again. SA Open number 2. I would like to congratulate all our members for your support throughout the year and the progress you have all made. Your hard work and determination through the Golf Clinics and the Golf Days has paid off. Numbers are up, the junior development is going great. Keep up all the good work and enjoy yourselves during the tournament week.

In closing, I would like to thank James Burgess (webmaster, cameraman and photographer). It will be great to see all his work on the site once the tournament has finished. The clinics will start up again in January 2010, so until then, be safe, be happy and stay tuned for all the latest news. Again thank you so much to my sponsors; none of this could be made possible without you.
