Background: I have been married to my wife Kathy for 36 years. Kathy is a retired school teacher. I am a retired Dept of Defense civilian employee (31 years of service). I work part time as a contractor to the United States Dept. of the Navy.

Amputation: Above Knee -  bone cancer 1977

Handicap: 16 (Sportsmans Golf Course - Harrisburg, PA)

Participation: Thursday and Friday stroke play and the awards dinner. myself and 3 guests (wife Kathy and Kevin and Milla Nitschke our friends in Adelaide).

Golf background: I took up golf after my amputation. I am an enthusiastic players albeit one with modest talent. I carry a 16 handicap and have broken 80 only twice in my 30 years of playing.  I joined the Eastern Amputee Golf Association in 1997 and currently serve as one the the vice presidents in that organization. I have run the Pennsylvania Amputee Open for several years and the Cumberland Valley Amputee Classic prior to that.

I'm really looking forward to competing in the SA Open and meeting new friends and Amputees.
