Anthology Yar GX1 Putter

Problem:  Golf Industry losing revenues, golfers stopping participation due to physical limitations

Dialogue: Multifarious Putter designed for the restricted Golfer

 

December 2006: Wharton School alumni business data bank investigated for the viability and population numbers for Multifarious Putter. Accumulated data supports investment, overwhelming Physically Disabled population, zero penetration in market, substantial growth 11.7% over the next 12 years. Either major putter manufactures not interested or segment unnoticed. Baby Boomers account for the largest portion of people born in one era; they possess the pecuniary means, leisure time, and have the need for specialty items associated with mobility.

January 2007: Discussion Wharton data reviewed input solicited from original participants for direction. Lusus Concepts Ltd. retained for prototyping $150,000.00 commitment given.

February, March, and April 2007: Engineering and Prototype fabrication continues. Discussions with Surgeons, health care providers, and Physical Therapist. This group of caregivers concur that the best therapy for early recovery is getting the patient back to regular activities as soon as possible. The Yar GX1 will not only help with the convalescing stage of golfers, but will become the putter of choice for this group. 

May 2007: ABS Polymer Prototype unveiled, Yar name given as project working title, initial field research, product evaluation, and investor participation explored. Yar as defined by Webster’s: Ready, Agile, responsive, Lively, Easily Handled. Yar for Par slogan established.

June 2007: Yar Putter Prototype 9.0 divot tool relocation Field Tested

July 2007: Yar Putter Prototype 9.9 Polymer putting face and ancillary items (Ball Marker) etc.  Field Tested.

August, 2007: Lusus Concepts Ltd makes sizable investment in Yar putter development $650.000.00. Jeff Raymond takes sidetrack lack of funds. Gerri Jordan steps in as golfing product advisor based on 40 years experience.

September, 2007:  Lusus Concepts Ltd orders larger production scale CNC machine, Yar Materials, composition, and ancillary components finalized.

October 2007 Gerri Jordan Joins forces with Lusus Concepts Ltd. Gerri Jordan’s esthetic contributions are integrated in to the Yar putter working title, changing it to the Yar GX1. The Yar GX1 is adopted as the trade Name for Putter. 

November 2007:  Numerous Prototypes produced, golfers testing criteria is formalized, extensive field-testing for durability, playability, function, are introduced. Yar GX1 used and viewed at Pebble Beach Golf Links for the first time.

December 2007: Extensive Field examinations begin, data assembled, and studied. Yar GX1 exceptionally results from all testing platforms...  Awareness of Male investor participation needed because of market selling attitudes.

January 2008: Far-reaching Field research continues, data accumulated, and scrutinized. Yar GX1 participants and observers interested in product. Yar Golf internet name is explored and secured.

February 2008: Generic and germane playing field research data amassed, combined, collated, and analyzed. Conclusion Yar GX1 Golf course exposure already generating sales interest. Yar GX1 Putter for testing is shipped to Geoff Mangum putting coach with international ties.

March 2008: Yar Gx1 personnel travel to Boca Raton Florida to collogue about a joint effort with principals of Tommy Amour Golf Co.  Contact made with Joe Jones Golf outlet Boca Raton to distribute Yar GX1.

April and May 2008: Negotiations with Tommy Amour terminate, with the death of owner. Other contacts are still active, Yar GX1 acknowledged for marketability. 

June 2008: Gerico Industries is formed as parent LLC, and marketing arm to Yar Golf. Plant production equipment is layout and ordered. Yar Golf Logo and advertizing is initialized.

 July 2008: Dr Essay Anne Vanderbilt and Gerri Jordan jointly file unique ball deformity Patent for Yar GX1, and trademark protection. Gerico Industries is made Assignee of Yar Gx1 Patent. Yar GX1 10.2 Putter Design formalized for Investment Casting. Negotiations for manufacturing and suppliers commence with AATC, PMA Photometals, Printing, Karakal golf grips, Global Putter covers, all ancillary and germane items or products associated with the Yar GX1 Putter Etc. USGA application for adaptive golf formally submitted. Internet Web-site designers are solicited to produce www.YarGolf.com. Web Site, hosting servers evaluated. 

August, September 2008:  Gerri Jordan and Dr Essay Anne Vanderbilt, expedite the Yar GX1 putter marketing efforts, road expedition to Portland Oregon. Safeway LPGA tour pro Marci Hart participant had wonderful results on warm up Green with Yar GX1 making 4 in a row, 6 foot Putts. USGA application for adaptive golf follow-up correspondence submitted.  

Arizona: Gerri Jordan contacts Leasing Agent in her office. Gerri Jordan and Dr Vanderbilt allocate 14 days pursuance for centralized and optimum location for Yar Golf Global Head Quarters. Tempe, Chandler, Phoenix, Etc are all considered.  

Las Vegas, Nevada PGA Show, Yar Golf shared exhibitor booth with Geoff Mangum. Yar Golf Exhibits for the first time the Yar GX1 Putter. Yar Golf principals established relations with, numerous distributors, dealers, writers, and exhibitors. Yar Golf engineering breakthroughs are recognized by colleague’s in Putter engineering and golfing paraphernalia as having a unique and truly functional Putter. Yar GX1 Putter sales potential and marketing strategy is realized; independent parties interested in investing after witnessing Yar GX1 appeal.

Arizona: Gerico Industries LLC. Gerri Jordan and Dr Vanderbilt negotiate and accomplish property owner’s commitment to $96,000.00 in improvements and 90 days in deferred payments, for 7910 S. Kyrene. Lease signed for Yar Golf New Global Head quarters at 7910 S. Kyrene Rd. Tempe Arizona.   

October 2008: Organize Yar Golf headquarters for occupancy in late November early December 2008. Negotiations with advertising, furniture, systematize productions rooms, office space, flooring covering, building and road signage. Employee recruitment and interviews initialized. Formalizing with all major suppliers taking place. USGA application for adaptive golf follow-up correspondence submitted. Gerri Jordan collogues with SBA associates, cogent Business Plan concluded ready for presentation.

Pre-Production Testing, Proof approvals reviewed and tendered. Authentication of prototypes from suppliers submitted to Dr Vanderbilt for specification assessment, examination, production and product feasibility determined. Suppliers assemble and alterations discussed. Sub-standard units are discarded. New suppliers are solicited if considered necessary.

Golf Test USA: Wayne Williams the Testing Director approached Yar Golf during the Las Vegas PGA show. He was genuinely impressed with the Yar GX1 putter; he invited us to participate in this assessment. Three Yar GX1 putters were submitted for open competition among industry-established putters. This evaluation is free, these results will be published and advertized on their Web site through 2010.

November, December 2008:  Logistics energized for Orlando PGA Show January 29 thru January 31st. USGA application for adaptive golf follow-up correspondence submitted.

January 2009, A remarkable debut and review for the Yar Golf GX1 Putter at the PGA Show in Orlando Fl. Many current and former players and LPGA & PGA teaching Pros stopped by our booth 1494 to see the newest kid on the block. In attendance the President of Yar Golf Gerri Jordan, Adaptive golf Teaching professional Jeff Raymond, Jim Lawson our Arizona distributor representative, Partner Phil Kinney and Dr Essay Anne Vanderbilt CEO Engineering and product development. The Yar Golf crucible with Golftest USA an independent testing laboratory were finalized one week before the show. We were presented with the GolfTest USA Seal of Excellence, and a Five Star Rating there are only eight putters in the world to date that have a five Star rating.

February 2009, Yar Golf’s newly renovated Global Headquarters in Tempe Az. at 7910 S Kyrene Rd. Suite 101 opens its doors to the public with a panache that is seldom associated with the golfing milieu.

March 2009, Custom fitting area and Putting Green installed. Phil Kinney was our spokesperson on Whine Time with January Jones, she is the host of an internet radio show. Phil and JJ interacted great.

April 2009, First golf tournament exposure was held in Arizona at Sun Lakes Country Club... The Yar Golf GX1 DAC Professional Golfer configuration was Submitted to the USGA for Conformity testing and approval...

April 24 & 25, 2009, Our first Sponsored Event with (WAGA) Western Amputee Golf Association, and NAGA National Amputee Golf Association. This was a 2-day Tournament that had over 80 participants; Yar Golf donated 4 custom fitted Yar Golf GX1 putters. The Yar Golf GX1 Putter was introduced to this group by Vic Columbi, a Vietnam Double Leg Amputee Veteran who we fitted with a Pro Bono putter a month prior. At the WAGA event The overwhelming consensus was ecstatic enthusiasm, “Yar Golf is the first Company and only Company to ever address our needs”. The GX1 Putter will be the Putter of choice for their members. Yar Golf tendered a very generous Putter Pricing outline specifically to the NAGA, WAGA Membership; the proffer is now in committee.

May 2009, The Yar Golf GX1 DAC was officially recognized as USGA Conforming, it is the first putter able to lift out a golf ball from the cup and still garner USGA conformability. January Jones used the Yar Golf GX1 DAC for the first time in Legal Competition at the “World Series of Golf” in Las Vegas.   

June 2009, Dateline Long Island NY, USGA Executive Board convenes to review Yar Golf’s request to have its GX1 Putter considered for adoption under the auspices of Adaptive Golf. The USGA was first made aware of our petition August 2008; it has taken Yar Golf 10 to secure a hearing. Phil Kinney will attend in person; Dr Essay Anne Vanderbilt will be available by conference call. Yar Golf’s first live drive time Radio show was broadcasted June 8, 2009, on KDUS 1060 AM. The Yar Golf GX1 Putter was picked by Great American Golf as the official and only Putter at the Boy’s and their Toys Event held in Phoenix Arizona at the Phoenix Convention Center June 19, 20, 21 2009. Father’s day weekend.
